CalfWise Workshop 17 & 19 October

The Vet Group’s CalfWise Workshops present the latest, topical information on calf rearing, relevant to our district. Our CalfWise team focuses on practical advice to help you achieve healthier calves.

The workshop is run over two days and participants come away with:

A thorough understanding of the biology of calf immunity and infection
Key points on calf nutrition: both milk and solid feeding
The ability to recognise and measure disease occurrence and know which triggers mean a change of action is necessary
Practical advice regarding housing options for your calves
Farm-specific action plans to help you achieve the best possible health and growth outcomes for your calves

This places us at the heart of a rapidly growing regional area, & in the centre of Australia’s most productive dairy area producing a quarter of the Nation’s milk. These clinics enable us to service the entire Great South Coast Region & beyond. From these locations, we extend our service reach to other parts of Victoria, interstate & overseas.

The Vet Group is committed to re-cycling and avoiding waste where ever possible.

The Vet Group has partnered with Zoetis on the recycling of Teatseal syringes. Farmers have been encouraged to bring back to our clinics their used Teatseal syringes and The Vet Group will assistance from Zoetis will forward these used syringes to appropriate recycling companies so that the plastics can be re-used. Great example of our commitment to sustainability.
